How Our Wedding Suit Fittings Work
Whether you’re the groom, a groomsman, or a wedding guest, Silk & Sapphire makes finding the right suit simple and stress-free.
Just come in with a photo on your phone, a colour you like, or even just the wedding date. That’s all we need to get started. No appointment required.
For wedding parties, there’s no need to wait until everyone’s free. You and your partner can choose the suits first, then the groomsmen can visit in their own time. We will take care of the rest.
How much does it cost?
Our men’s three-piece suits range from £100 to £240, with an average price of around £160.
Our children’s suits (ages 1–14) range from £40 to £100, with an average price of around £70.
For a complete men’s outfit, expect to spend £220–£280, depending on the suit you choose. That includes your suit, cufflink shirt, shoes and tie set.
Trouser alterations are included at no extra cost.
What happens when you visit?
1. Choose your suits
Try on the styles that catch your eye. We will check how everything fits and take care of any alterations needed.
2. GET THE REST OF YOUR PARTY FITTED
Once you have chosen your suits, your groomsmen can have their fittings during the same visit or come in separately.
If they come in separately, they just need to tell us the wedding party name. We will take care of the rest.
3. TAKE YOUR SUITS HOME
We do around 90% of alterations while you wait, so most people can take their suits home the same day.
For alterations that need more time, you can leave a 50% deposit and pay the rest when you collect your finished suit.
Your party can collect separately, or one person can pick up all the suits.
4. Changed size before the wedding?
You can exchange your suit until 14 days before your wedding, as long as it’s unworn, in its original condition and still has the tags attached. Exchanges are subject to stock availability. Clearance and final sale items are excluded.

No appointment is required, walk-ins are welcome.
For wedding parties of four or more, we recommend a quick WhatsApp message before your visit so we can reserve fitting rooms for your group, though this is completely optional.
Most individual suit fittings take 20 to 30 minutes, including trouser alterations. For wedding parties, please allow around one hour.
We recommend coming in two months before your wedding, when the latest styles and colours are available and your size is unlikely to change before the day.
For children, we recommend around one month before the wedding, as they can grow quickly.
If you are short on time, pop into the shop. We have helped people find a suit just hours before their event.
We stock over 10 brands, including Paul Andrew, Marc Darcy, House of Cavani, Skopes and Makrom.
All our men’s suits come in chest sizes 34–52 inches, with selected styles available up to 56 or 62 inches depending on the brand.
